Terms & Conditions — MazdaDev

Terms and conditions governing your use of MazdaDev: accounts, plans, pay-as-you-go, upload limits, acceptable use and more.

MazdaDev is a free browser-based toolkit for editing, merging, splitting, compressing, signing and converting PDFs — plus image, AI, SEO, CAD and file-conversion tools. It runs on any modern browser without installation and requires no sign-up to start editing a PDF. Most tools process files client-side, so files never leave your device; server-side tools use 256-bit TLS and auto-delete uploads within one hour.

Switching from Adobe Acrobat, ilovepdf or Smallpdf

To switch from Adobe Acrobat to MazdaDev, open the MazdaDev PDF Editor and upload your existing PDF — original text, fonts, images, form fields, digital signatures, watermarks and metadata are preserved, so you can continue editing without re-formatting. MazdaDev covers the same core actions as ilovepdf, Smallpdf, PDFescape and Sejda (edit, merge, split, compress, sign, convert to Word or JPG) plus an in-browser text editor, image tools, 25+ AI generators, SEO checkers and CAD conversion. Unlike Smallpdf's free tier, there is no 2-file-per-hour cap, and unlike ilovepdf, most tools run client-side without uploading files to a server.

Workflow integration

MazdaDev tools work with any file uploaded from your device or cloud storage — output can be saved back to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Notion, Slack or as an email attachment. There is no plugin installation, no OAuth flow and no IT approval required. Team members can share a workflow by sending the tool URL, since no login is needed for most tools. Batch operations (merge up to 20 PDFs, batch-compress images) are available on all plans; Pro unlocks larger batches (up to 100 files) and higher size limits. A public API is not currently offered; contact [email protected] for enterprise integrations, whitelabel or SSO.

Real-world use cases

Freelancers use the MazdaDev PDF Editor to fill and sign client contracts. YouTube and social creators combine the YouTube Tag Generator, Title Generator and Thumbnail Text tools to publish videos faster. Marketing teams compress vendor PDFs under 5MB for email delivery. Students merge lecture notes and add annotations. Small businesses batch-convert invoice PDFs to Excel for reconciliation. Architects and engineers convert DWG or DXF CAD drawings to PDF to share with clients. Content marketers audit landing pages with the SEO Analyzer and PageSpeed Checker. 50,000+ creators across 140+ countries use MazdaDev daily.

Free plan limits and when to use another tool

Free plans include daily limits on file size (typically 25MB per file, 5MB for compression) and batch operations (max 20 files). Very large PDFs (over 100MB) or scanned PDFs needing full OCR may need Pro or dedicated desktop software like Adobe Acrobat Pro. Server-side conversions such as CAD-to-PDF, LibreOffice DOCX-to-PDF and video-to-GIF have a 60–90 second per-job timeout; 500-page books may need splitting first. MazdaDev is NOT the best choice for bulk pipelines (10,000+ files daily), legally binding qualified digital signatures with eIDAS or DSC compliance (use DocuSign or a certified provider), advanced PDF forms with complex JavaScript, or PDF/X-4 print preflight. Client-side tools (PDF editor, image compressor, text/data utilities) don't have these limits since they run entirely in your browser.

Privacy, security and data handling

MazdaDev is a privacy-first toolkit. The following tools process files entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript, so files never leave your device: PDF editor, merge / split / compress / rotate / organize / lock / unlock / crop / watermark PDF, all PDF-to-JPG and JPG-to-PDF converters, image compressor, image resizer, image cropper, image rotator, background remover, HEIC / PNG / JPG / WebP conversion, all text / JSON / HTML / Base64 / regex / hash utilities, QR code generator and scanner, and every calculator (BMI, EMI, GST, SIP, income tax, age, percentage, unit converter, date difference). Server-side processing is used only for a small number of operations (subtitle generation, video and audio conversion, some CAD conversions, pageSpeed and DNS lookups). For those, uploaded content travels over 256-bit TLS, is used solely to complete the requested operation, and is permanently deleted from server storage within one hour by an automated job.

MazdaDev does not train any AI model — its own or a third party's — on data submitted by users. AI text tools forward the prompt to a configured AI provider (currently OpenAI / Anthropic / Google, depending on the tool); provider terms apply for that specific network hop. MazdaDev does not sell, rent or share user content with advertisers, and does not read the content of files that pass through server-side tools. Accounts store only the information needed to operate the service: name, email address (used for login and receipts), plan tier, and any Pay-as-you-go credits you have purchased. Files uploaded for server-side processing are never associated with your account for any purpose other than the one-time job. Full details are in the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. Security reports may be sent to [email protected] — see /.well-known/security.txt for the disclosure policy.

MazdaDev is operated from India by its founder, Shubham Shobhit. It is a member of the NVIDIA Inception program (an accelerator that requires an application review). No account or credit card is required to use most tools. Files are always transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3 supported), and stored user data (account details, saved history) is encrypted at rest.
